Review: G is for Genome by Iain Rob Wright

That was very different to what I was expecting. But I still really enjoyed it. It's a very messed up concept, but also really quite interesting.
I was curious to see how it was going to pan out. Another good one in the A-Z series. 
Now to move onto H

I enjoyed this. I have to admit that I did guess the ending very early on.
But this was still a fun story. It felt like a hard core goosebumps or something.
Another one down in the A-Z four stars from me.

Review: Dark Exorcist

Dark Exorcist by Tim Miller

This is the first story I've read from this author. Have to say that I really enjoyed it.
I was concerned with it being a possession novel that it would just start ripping things off from the usual stories, but it didn't. It was a great story in its own right.
Definitely checking out more from this author.

This was a fun quick story.
I'd say it's a bit of a tongue in cheek horror. It's a little bit cheesy, but having said that if you were out in that situation in real life it would be terrifying!
It's defo worth checking out.

Review: The Sorrow King

The Sorrow King by Andersen Prunty

Dnf at 82%.

I kept trying because I really wanted this to turn around, but it was starting to feel like a chore reading this.
It's just too depressing. I understand that suicide is a key factor to the story. But everyone is just constantly depressed. There is no breath of fresh air.

Sorry just didn't do it for me.

Review: Floppy Shoes Apocalypse

Floppy Shoes Apocalypse by Alex S. Johnson

Anthologies are difficult to rate because there are always such a mix of stories in them.
I personally think it's almost impossible for anyone to like every single story in an anthology. Everyone has different tastes and every author has different writing styles.
It's not necessararly a bad read, just not to that persons taste.
In this anthology I found that there were a lot more stories that I did enjoy. There were only a couple that didn't take my fancy.
This is definitely worth a read.
It's clowns for gods sake and it doesn't get much more scary than that!
